Senior Moving Management
Room To Improve is dedicating to assisting the elderly, newly widowed, and divorced in down-sizing or right-sizing their lives.
Moving can be both emotionally and physically stressful. Our move management service provides a means of relieving the anxiety associated with moving.
With over ten years of experience working with seniors, Lori Salzman and her staff do all they can to make this experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Every move is catered to the needs of the client, providing as much or as little support as necessary to ensure an easy transition.
Each of our moves begins with a complimentary consultation in the home of our client, during which we carefully assess the scope of the work to be done and develop a plan based on your individual needs and wishes.
We then implement that plan and oversee the actual move. Once your belongings have arrived in your new home, we can unpack them for you, set up any electronics and artwork, and even stock your refrigerator!

Arranging for an auctioneer/consignment shop/estate sale/charitable donations
Arranging storage

Room To Improve caters to all of your home staging needs. We stage occupied homes, vacant homes, and provide “Do It Yourself” Action Plans for our clients who are motivated to do the work themselves. We also offer personal shopping services to assist our clients in achieving the perfect look for their home.
OCCUPIED HOME STAGING
After a brief tour of your property, a Room To Improve associate will create a plan for making that property shine. That plan might include anything from de-cluttering to paint choices, repair work, furniture layout, and so on. We can make arrangements for outside professionals such as painters or handymen if necessary.
Our primary objective is to create a clean elegant look utilizing proven marketing techniques to show your property at its best. Whenever possible, we will use what you already own to achieve a look that sells.
If there are crucial items missing (such as artwork, accessories, or linens) we can purchase those items for you or recommend places for you to purchase them yourself.
We are more than willing to do all of the work for you, work along with you, or just point you in the right direction. We can cater our services to fit just about any budget.
VACANT HOME STAGING
A Room To Improve associate will meet with you or your Realtor at the property to view and measure the rooms.
If any paint or repair work is necessary, we can gladly oversee that for you. Then we will arrange for all furnishings and accessories to be delivered to the property.
We will spend at least a day staging the property to enhance its best features and minimize its weakest features, enabling it to stand out from the competition.
Once the home sells, we will de-stage the property and remove all furnishings and accessories.
“Do It Yourself ” ACTION PLAN
“DIY” Action Plans for our clients who are motivated to do the work themselves. This is the perfect service for self-motivated homeowners who haven't yet put their property on the market.
A Room To Improve associate will spend up to two hours with you in your home developing a complete plan to stage your home. We will then send you a report, approximately 30 pages in length, enabling you to complete the work within your own budget and time frame.
The report includes step-by-step instructions and recommended furniture layout, as well as a large array of inspirational photos and recommendations for small purchases that will help create the perfect look.
As you prepare for your first Open House, we would be more than happy to come back to your home to add the finishing touches.
REDESIGN
Redesign is similar to home staging, but is based on the concept of using what you already own to create a fresh new look or more functional living space for your own enjoyment.
Many of our clients use our redesign services to help them get settled into a new home. Others use our services to create a fresh new look in a room that has started to feel tired or no longer meets their needs.
In this sluggish housing market, many people are opting to stay in their current home rather than relocate. Redesign can be an affordable alternative to create a dream-home look without the dream-home expense!
Use us to help with the look of one room or your entire home. As with home staging, we are more than happy to do the work for you, work along with you, or just guide you in the right direction.
We can help with de-cluttering, organization, choosing paint, suggesting minor alterations and furniture layout, purchasing minor decorative pieces, and so on. Our specialty is discovering alternative uses for everyday items and creating innovative wall décor!
* Room To Improve is located in Boston,Massachusetts (MA) and caters primarily to Greater Boston, Metro West, and other areas within the Rte. 495 Corridor but we are willing to travel throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and southern New Hampshire for a modest travel fee.
